Anna Nicole Smith Gave Birth to Daughter But Lost Visiting Son: What a Tragedy!

On the week when the super star mom had to celebrate the birth of her new baby, she is stuck in the Bahamas where she is grieving the sudden death of her 20-year-old son Daniel Smith.

According to a post on Anna Nicole's web site, nobody knows yet what the causes of death are. The announcement indicates that there was no drug and alcohol abuse by the young man. "On September 7th Anna Nicole gave birth to a healthy 6 pound, 9 ounce baby girl. Her son Daniel was in the Bahamas with her to share in the joy of his baby sister when he passed away suddenly on the morning of September 10th. We have yet to learn the cause of death but do not believe that drugs or alcohol were a factor. Anna Nicole is absolutely devastated by the loss of her son. He was her pride and joy and an amazing human being. Please do not make any press inquiries at this time so that Anna Nicole can grieve in peace."

The young man had traveled to the Caribbean to share in the family's new joy, the birth of his sister. Nobody knows who the father of this new baby is yet. But Daniel Smith's father is known. Billy Smith met Anna Nicole when they were working for the same company. They got married, had Daniel and divorced two years later.
